YouTube is implementing a new option to pause comments in videos
The YouTube team adds a new option that allows you to take a break from overseeing comments on your channel, without disabling them on videos. Dynamic process you can easily activate from YouTube Studio or YouTube Studio.
Comments can become a headache for content creators on YouTube. While the platform has some options that make it easier to supervise, content creators still have to deal with all the feedback users leave on their YouTube videos.
To facilitate this task, YouTube is implementing a new option in the commentary settings. A new feature lets you “pause” comments on a particular video, to take a break from supervision.
It’s an interesting dynamic, because it prevents users from adding new comments, but without affecting those that have already been posted on your video. That is, the comments I have agreed to so far will continue to appear in the video, but will not allow new comments to be added. Temporary action until you cancel the pause for comments.
An option may be practical if you plan to take time off, or if a video goes viral and you can’t follow comments left by users.
To make this procedure transparent, users will see a message such as “comments paused” in the comments section. In this way, they will know that the creator has taken temporary action on the comments.
