Chinese company TCL has unveiled its two new TCL 50 SE and  50 5G phones of cheap class to suit budget holders as part of its participation in the MWC 2024 conference.

The  50 SE comes with an IPS LCD-type display measuring 6.78 inches with FHD + resolution, 90Hz frequency, the phone operates with a Helio G88 processor from Mediatek with 4 or 6GB RAM, 256GB storage space, and can also increase storage space from SRI to MIC.

The device contains two rear cameras; 50-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel proximity camera, 8-megapixel front selfie camera.

The phone runs Android 14, and TCL promises to upgrade it to Android 15 later this year.

The phone has a large 5,000mAh battery that supports 33-watt fast charging, with a 50% battery charge in just 30 minutes.

With respect to the 50 5G phone, it comes in a similar design but features a different screen measuring 6.6 inches with a frequency of 90 Hz and resolution of + HD, a mediatek MT6835 processor and 4 or 6 GB of random memory.

The 50 5G phone carries the same basic rear camera as the other phone, with a 5-megapixel secondary camera, and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The 50 5G also runs Android 14, and will receive a two-year system upgrade, featuring the same battery in the other phone, but with a charge speed of just 18 watts, as its 5G supporter name suggests.

The Chinese company will launch its new telephones at a price of 150 euros in European markets and some markets in Africa and the Middle East region.
