Samsung phone camera will capture the invisible
Samsung AI Camera: The rapid development of AI will lead to an evolution in all technological fields, especially Samsung’s smartphone cameras racing with Sony at the forefront of smartphone camera sensors and Samsung is doing everything possible in the field of AI through the Galaxy S24 smartphone series.
Samsung recently unveiled its third 200-megapixel camera sensor, and announced its advanced Zoom Anyplace zoom technology that uses artificial intelligence technology to automatically track objects during close-up footage.
The company is integrating more AI capabilities into camera sensors. It wants to offer image sensors that can capture the invisible by 2027 without clarifying what kind of invisible details these sensors can capture.
But some phones have sort of provided a glimpse into this. Previously, FLIR’s thermal camera smartphones have appeared capable of capturing thermal energy.
Huawei provided a sensor to help capture fluorescent images (glow emitted from certain substances when exposed to UV radiation).
The 2020 OnePlus 8 Pro has a color filter camera that accidentally provides limited X-ray visibility, allowing users to see through some clothing pieces.
But Samsung works to capture invisible objects like this via a traditional camera sensor instead of relying on a specialized sensor that will be a real achievement. However, the reports did not clarify whether this technology will reach smartphone camera sensors or other sectors such as automotive, medical and industrial sectors.
