China’s Honor announced its intention to launch a future Honor smart ring as well as a vertically folding smartphone, according to the company’s CEO, George Zhao in an interview with CNBC specializing in the world of business and finance.

Honor is expanding its range of products to include smart rings within its wearable devices, with potential integration of its wearables and smartphones via its health app, in order to better monitor user health thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence.

The integration of AI into health-focused devices opens the way for personalized health recommendations, and stressed the potential of AI to revolutionize health applications, envisaging the possibility of designing mathematical training programs based on individual habits and users’ health data.

Through the smart ring, the company aims to enable users to obtain actionable suggestions derived from AI-based analysis, integrating with wearables and smartphones that it offers users.

The  ring is still under development and no additional information is available at this time.

The company announcement of its intention to develop a smart ring comes after Samsung announced its new ring and revealed its design and highlighted its advantages during the 2024 MWC Conference.

In a connected context, Chow announced the company’s intention to launch a vertically folding smartphone that might be named HONOR Magic Flip, different from other horizontally folding smartphones as a book like the  HONOR Magic V2 that the company already makes available to its customers.
